“DA ALL AFRICAN WEAR”

When it comes to fashion, it is known that students are the real definition of fashion, call it casual, official, Dinner, and traditional.
Students know how to make an occasion a remarkable with their style of combining various wearable at any time, at the right place and on right occasions.
These days, there are programs or events on various campuses (tertiary Schools) which is always about clubbing, poolside party, pageants, among others which is not exceptional on Jayee University campus.
Being creative is one thing Jayee University Entertainment Committee never lacks, and the spirit of “we can do it is definitely on track.
There has no instance that the Entertainment Committee has repeated an event for students unless it’s highly requested or demand.
Jayee University Entertainment Committee officially launches the first ever “African wear” program to campus and it’s accepted to be the first Entertainment Committee to create such event.
It’s “DA ALL AFRICAN WEAR COCKTAIL & BARBECUE”, first invented as part of campus events by Jayee University Entertainment Committee to have a change on campus programs.
It’s certainly not the first time to see someone in African wear or even to hear the word Cocktail & Barbecue but what makes it first and special is the projecting of the African wear by students.
According to the JUC Entertainment Secretary, Frank Hudson , the committee came up with such idea to educate students on how relevant African print should be to them to project and promote the African Values especially Ghana.
It has been observed and concluded by students that most people wear African print more often than ever so it’s even a good idea to those who already project the value of African.
The face of Jayee (FOJ), Portia Owusu Okyere added her view that students will embrace the event because students are curious, they would love to come witness if people will come to the event, and also to look at the kind of styles people will wear so to her, it’s a good idea by the Committee.
The program is on 2nd December (farmer’s day) at the Chills and thrills (tetegu) from 7pm till you want no more. It’s cool ghc5.
