Portia slaps Eight down in FOJ

It was a night of surprise and astonishment as Portia Owusu, a multi-talented level 100 journalism Student smashed other contestants down to wear the crown as Face of Jayee(FOJ) 2011.
She was not only crown as the FOJ 2011 but confidently won the award for miss Eloquence for the night.
Though she led the vote, she was not part of the expectations and prediction people had in mind until she exhibited her intelligence which carried away the judges and the crowd that night.
The other eight contestants exhibited their talents and also delivered very well but Portias’ composure and intelligence was extremely exceptional.
She was not as perfect as was expected but tackled every question with intelligence and confidence which convinced the judges enough to give her deserving marks.
Portia, aim not to become FOJ just to wear the “crown” as it sounds but to contribute to the development of the school and also the country as she is looking forward to participating in the miss tertiary competition and other pageants.
“Just expect the best from me when it comes to issues concerning contest or pageants participations among ternaries” she added.
It is said that everyone has capability and it’s what Bold and Beautiful Portia has discovered aside her love for people in respectful of their caliber.
According to her, this is not her first time winning a crown but saw FOJ as a very challenging and tough competition because all her competitors were well prepared and delivered well.
In every competition, there must be one winner and she thank God her dream came to reality though she won the crown, she can’t stop thanking God.
She couldn’t come out of the joy as Constance Awuye, last year’s FOJ check out from the seat and also handed over the crown to her.
Portia won a 21 inch colour television and Ramatu Osman and Irene Afful, her runners up won a DVD Player and Rice cooker respectively.
She still stands by her philosophy ‘Life is not about how you dream, but how you make it a reality”.
